Is baklava dairy free or vegan?
Not every baklava recipe is dairy free or vegan. At Jackie's Middle Eastern, our Vegan preparation uses vegan butter and no honey; our Regular and Sugar-Free baklava contain dairy butter. Choose Vegan when ordering a plant-based box. Our vegan baklava contains wheat and tree nuts and is made in a shared kitchen that also processes dairy and other allergens.

What is in our vegan baklava?
Our five vegan flavors combine phyllo dough, nuts, vegan butter, sugar, spices, orange blossom and rose water. The chocolate flavor also includes vegan chocolate. Here is how our preparations differ:
- Vegan: Made with vegan butter and sugar, without honey. Available in Large 12-piece boxes.
- Regular: Made with dairy butter and honey. Small four-piece and Large 12-piece boxes are available.
- Sugar-Free: A separate preparation made with dairy butter, monk fruit and allulose. It is not our vegan option.
- Check the selected preparation: Each product page lists ingredients for all three recipes. Read the Vegan list and select Vegan before adding to your cart.

Vegan baklava questions
These answers describe Jackie's five baklava flavors and their current ingredient lists.
- Does your vegan baklava contain honey? No. Our Vegan recipes use sugar and do not include honey. Our Regular recipes do include honey.
- Is vegan baklava gluten free? Ours is not: the phyllo contains wheat.
- Is your vegan baklava nut free? No. Every flavor contains tree nuts. Chocolate baklava contains both walnuts and almonds.
- Is it made in a dairy-free kitchen? No. Our kitchen also processes dairy, tree nuts, wheat and other allergens. The Vegan preparation does not mean allergen-free production.
- Is your sugar-free baklava also vegan? No. Our Sugar-Free recipes contain dairy butter. Choose Vegan for the plant-based preparation; it contains sugar.
- Can I order a small vegan box? Vegan is available in the Large 12-piece box only. Small four-piece boxes are Regular.

best baklava I've ever had in my whole life
I recently came across Jackie's at the hollywood farmers market 3 weeks ago and immediately enjoyed the chocolate & pistachio baklava. My mom enjoys chocolate and nuts so i ordered for her for mother's day and she really enjoyed them. I will definitely get more.
I ordered 3 of the vegan Dubai chocolate bars for delivery and within an hour I got a text message saying they were in the neighborhood and would I like them dropped off! Talk about amazing service! The flavor and textures and quality are sooo good I just bought 3 more to send to my sisters in Philly. (don’t worry, Jackie, I don’t expect those to be hand delivered!) Will definitely be buying these again.
I bought a small box of baklava at the Hollywood Farmers market when I was visiting my daughter. I am VERY picky about my baklava and this is the absolute best that I have ever had! My home-made is pretty darn good but it is also a LOT of work. I appreciate all of the time and deliciousness. I will be buying again.
Ordered the sugar-free half walnut and half pistachio baklava large size (12 pieces). The best sugar free baklava I have had. Understand this is rated 5 stars for what it is. Lightly sweet and natural, crunchy, nutty and full of flavor. Not your traditional honey soaked baklava. It was packed well and shipped the same day ordered. A wonderful lady who puts care in her Baklava. Thank you for the sugar free, nutty experience!
The quality and flavors are amazing. The vegan baklava is impressive as well! I finally don't feel left out and can enjoy one of my favorite childhood treats without having to worry about the dairy. Jacki is super wonderful :)
These baklavas are high quality, crisp, and are incredibly tasty.! I tried the variety pack too and every version was as delicious. Delivery was fast and packaging was great too. You cannot find better than these!

My daughter turned me onto Jackie’s Dubai chocolate and I’ve been hooked ever since!!! I made all kinds of excuses not to try it - “I’m picky, I don’t like pistachios, dark chocolate isn’t for me,, it must be full of calories like a candy bar”….
